Austen Experience: Sense and Sensibility Read Aloud

Joseph Fiennes from Shakespeare in Love.

Wednesday is here, and I think it’s time for another Austen Experience. I’ve chosen another selection of Austen’s works read aloud. This time, it’s my favorite scene from Sense and Sensibility read by Joseph Fiennes from Shakespeare in Love.

I found this pairing of book and reader ideal because I’ve been on a bit of a Shakespeare kick this week. I’ve been enjoying Much Ado about Nothing and Taming of the Shrew again. Anyone seen the BBC’s version: ShakespeaRe-told: Taming of the Shrew with Shirley Henderson and Rufus Sewell? Fabulously funny. But I digress…

Take a little break from your day and savor this reading by Joseph Fiennes of the love scene from Sense and Sensibility.

  1. H. Gillham said it best "yummy!" He can read aloud to me any day with that soothing voice and staggering good looks!!!
