Blog BBQ: Join the party and grow your blog!

To help spread the word about Charlotte Collins, I’m joining a blog BBQ party. And it just happens to coincide with my birthday, which is Sunday. Virtual gifts accepted. *grin*

The original party invitation is here, but to recap here’s how it works:

  •  Follow my blog. (And this is not a requirement, but you could also take a look at Charlotte Collins. *hint hint*)
  • Comment on this post and tell me what food you’ll bring to the BBQ. Also, tell us a little about yourself and your blog.
  •  Find at least three new partygoers to visit, comment on their blogs and follow if you like.
  •  Click on the twitter and/or facebook icons at the bottom of this post to invite more people to the party. That means more followers for everyone!

I look forward to meeting new people and trying out food from your area of the world. If you wanted to include a recipe, that would be OK too! Leave your links too. I want to find out about you.

This post will be up the entire 4-day Labor Day weekend, giving everyone plenty of time to find new friends and followers. I’m bringing Southern style pulled pork and a truckload of fireworks.

They’re legal in my state!

Let’s all enjoy as many virtual calories as we can. Let’s party!

  1. Hi! I am stopping by from the party. I will take the hint and take a look at your book. I know we aren't supposed to judge by the cover, but, I can tell it's right up my alley! I LOVE historical fiction!! That's what it is, isn't it? Congrats to you!! Enjoy your weekend and I wish you the best, Janelle

  2. Hi Janelle,

Nice to meet you! I am going to your blog now. Thanks for judging my cover positively. I designed it myself. And for a non-art person, it was hard work!

  3. I'm here for the BBQ too. I like to connect with other writers online, so it will be fun to see your posts. Have a great day. πŸ™‚

  4. Over form KG's barbie ;o) Looking forward to reading more of you! Have a very happy birthday!

  5. Yet another person on over from KG's BBQ. I'm not a writer but I have dreams:-) in the meantime it's fun reading about the journey of others.

  6. I've started following your blog as a result of KarenG's BBQ. I'm bringing more meat–Carne Asada, a Southern California favorite– so between us we've got the best meat covered.
I have an eclectic blog where I explore all sorts of things using different approaches. Since I post 7 days a week I need to have a lot of variety. Hope you'll stop by and give me your thoughts.

Oh, and happy birthday! My virtual gift to you?? Hmmm– how about a week-end chalet rental in Gatlinburg in the Smokies. I guess that might not be too far from you. You can use it closer to late October if you like, when the leaves are in colorful Fall spendor.

    Nice meeting you

  7. Came by from the BBQ, and to follow on your networks. Happy early birthday! I'm on the 12th. πŸ™‚

    Great blog. I'll be back.

  8. Ha! Thanks for all the virutal birthday gifts! I am especially looking forward to the chalet weekend! I will be hitting all your blogs before too long, so look out.

  9. I look forward to following you. I came over from KarenG's BBQ just now. I hope you'll drop by and see me too.

  10. Hushpuppies from me to go with your pulled pork and for your birthday, some pottery from Jugtown to serve them on. I'm from NC, can you tell! Historical fiction is my love, but now I'm into a nonfiction historical project. I look forward to hearing more about Charlotte Collins.

  11. Passing through from the BBQ. Pleased to meet you!

We only just met and you are about to make me eat my own words! I just (not even an hour ago) remarked that I don't usually like continuations because so many of them don't live up to the original.

Pride and Prejudice is probably my favorite book ever.

I was JUST thinking about Charlotte the other day. This is not something I ordinarily do. I'm not like obsessed with the book or anything, and I couldn't tell you why she popped into my head…but she did.

    I really like the cover.

Here, have some of my homemade ice cream (with my mom's hot fudge sauce recipe) while I have a big heaping bowl of MY OWN WORDS. LOL

  12. Thanks for stopping by my blog, courtesy of Karen's huge barbeque. Congratulations on Charlotte Collins. I'm spicing things up with grilled jalapeno poppers and fresh salsa with chips.

  13. Congratulations on the book! P&P is my absolute favorite, and this is such a fun subject. Oh, the fun you must have had with Mr. Collins!

I'm here from the bbq too. Nice to find your blog.

  14. Hello Jennifer,

  15. Hello – stopping by from Karen G's place – oh, another party – I make really good potato salad.

Good Luck with your novel – Enjoy ALL the Moments, big and small and in between.

I'm a writer, and co-publishing editor of Rose & Thorn. Have two novels released, one to be released in November, and am working on the fourth *whew* πŸ˜€ so yes, enjoy all the moments!

  16. Hi Jennifer,

First up – happy birthday! I just popped on over here from Karen G's e-BBQ and really like your blog πŸ™‚

I'm doing an over-haul of my Shattering Limitations blog this week – I'll let you know when it's up.
